My passion for creating stemmed from my love of art. I grew up sketching with charcoal, painting with watercolors and, eventually, seeing life through a lens. My older sister was the first to introduce me to photography - she was taking a film photography class and would use me as her subject for assignments. As her skills developed, so did my interest; I would steal her camera and take it to my equestrian lessons, shoot portraits for my friends and take nature walks just so I could practice shooting still life. You can only learn so much on your own, though, and my technical skills really began to develop when I was finally able to take the same film photography class that started my obsession. From then on, I did everything I could to gain experience. When I was 14 I interned for a local portrait photographer, started my own business and slowly built my brand. Following my high school graduation in 2014, I attended the University of North Texas where I discovered videography. Just like photography, I was immediately hooked and refused to let my camera go. The more work I started to produce, the more it made sense. What I love to do isn’t necessarily photography or video, it is to create. Whether that is writing a short story, sketching a doodle, editing a video or photographing my plants, as long as I’m creating, I am the happiest I can be.
